Before you read, read this! The rules that you are required to read before roleplaying in the village are marked in GREEN, the rest are just for reference for your convenience about behavior in the hollow, but you only have to read the rules in GREEN.
Rules
All players visiting the Hollow are welcome to roleplay there before submitting an application. You don't have to join to play with us! But you do have to read our rules. Please read them carefully. (You are only required to read the rules marked in green), the rest are for reference.
If you feel your character may be too malicious or powerful for our dream, you may want to submit an application to have the character approved. (Submitting an application shouldn't be a scary process! If your character is over-the-top, I am more interested in working out the character's abilities with you until they're more suited to our environment than rejecting the character. Don't be afraid to apply!)
Punishments for breaking rules may vary, depending on the severity.

General Conduct
First and foremost, you do not have to be a member to roleplay in the hollow. But becoming a member does have certain benefits. (For example, only members may apply for jobs).
1. Trust the moderators: Please don't argue with the moderators. If you feel a moderator has punished you too harshly or for the wrong reason, you should send Kaelin'yFiae(CarolyneReigne@aol.com) an unedited log, what your punishment was, and your side of the argument. Please be decent.
2. Respect other players: Grant privacy, respect their opinions and respect their presence. This is an important rule, keep your on an acceptable level. Do not make crude, sassy or rude remarks toward other members.
Continued: We can and do have a tendency of being a 'perverted' crowd OOC. As in, we make a lot of jokes. We're kids, that's what we do. However, there is a difference between a fun joke and just plain inappropriate. Consider what you're going to say before you say it, it might offend someone.
3. OOC in OOC area: Out of Character conversations should be kept to the OOC area, (to get there say @OOC). The OOC area is also to be kept clean, a little cussing is fine.. but don't over do it. OOC conversation during roleplay is fine, but don't let it get out of hand.
4. Use your brackets: All OOC in dream is to be kept in some form of OOC brackets. (Except on special occasion and in the OOC area.)
5. No name calling: No name calling. (Ex: Newbie, twink, etc.) Names such as 'newbie' are intepereted differently by different players. Don't call each other names, please, it doesn't help anything, and you're more likely to get in trouble for calling someone a 'twink' OOC than the person who may be 'twinking' IC. This is a small rule but it's also our most enforced rule.
6. Unfair characters: If you feel someone is bending the rules, or has a character that is just a might bit too powerful, contact a head, don't try to confront the other player. Let us deal with it. (Accusing the other player of being over the top is discouraged)
7. Spamming: Spamming or waving your 'parts' around is an immediate ejection, or banish.
8. Blacklists: The moderation team doesn't use or care about blacklists, please don't bring them to our attention.
9. Idling: Please don't idle in unlikely areas to keep other people from accessing rooms, such as in front of doors. If you do you may be moved or ejected. Idling in most places is fine, although you might be moved to make room for other players.
10. Altering the Continuity: I'm all for creativity, and I encourage it. But do not alter the village history with events or characters without my(Kaelin'yFiae's) consent. Some alterations in the continuity are fine, but leave the Hollow's history alone! (Altering the history without permission can have profound effects on the atomosphere and continuity of the dream.) Not everyone wants to participate in the same storyline. Or have to alter their characters to accomdate it.
11. Posting Order: Assuming posting orders or taking turns is completely optional, no player may be forced into turns (nor badgered if they don't comply to turns) unless they are participating in a fight (not just witnessing). Keep in mind that posting orders are not mandatory in Draygans Hollow. But in many cases at least partially conforming to a posting order is the polite thing to do.
IC Conduct
1. No major damage to the village: (Such as plundering, raging fires, collapsed buildings.) If it's something that would effect every player, it shoudn't be done. Unless you have permission. If this rule is broken, previous IC actions concerning the damaged item will be invalid.
2. Yiffing and rape: No yiffing in the dream. If you have something like 'I'm yiffy' in your descrip you may be asked to remove it while in our dream. If there is mature content in your descrip such as links, please put a 'mature content' label in the desc.
3. Do not assume work where you are not employed: If you don't work there, don't try to. Going behind the tavern bar is forbidden if you're not a bartender.. unless, your character decides to hop the bar, or tend ICly. But keep in mind that doesn't make your character a bar tender, and that also means the character is aware of this. The same goes for the rest of the village.
4. Performing glorified acts: If your character meets another that is blind, have courtesy for the person playing the other character. Do not heal them just because your character has the ability. Sometimes players want their characters to remain that way. Ask the other person before performing similar 'glorified acts', such as ressurection, healing illnesses, fixing broken items, Etc. It keeps everybody happier.
5. NPC Animals: Most of the time the NPCs(such as the dogs) are not killable/woundable, they may be a crucial part of roleplay for someone else. They're there for looks and character acknowledgement, most of these dogs are owned and cared for IC by the Hunters Guild and assigned players. Please be careful of how you treat the animal NPCs in the Hollow.
6. Horses: If you use a horse, put it up when you're done. Kaelin'yFiae doesn't like to find horses randomly littering the dream. If you happen upon a horse no one is using, please, put it away for the community. The horses in the stables are mostly work horses, please respect the stable workers and don't take them out to play with them unless it's valid roleplay. The stables are not for personal player use, you can have a horse, but your character won't have an on map stable to put it in. (You're welcome to pretend there are stables near-by).
Character Limitations and Guidelines
1. Character size: Your character is not allowed to be over 10ft in height at the shoulder while in village. No more than 8 ft wide, and no more than 25 ft long unless otherwise approved. This rule is in effect because the space in the village is limited. Characters larger than these specifications would have difficulty manuevering in Draygans Hollow and have occasionally been known to be more imposing on scenes than the other players are comfortable with.
2. Continued: Consider your character's size vs village buildings. The doors are normal in size (about 8 ft tall and 3 1/2 ft wide individually). Please don't bust up buildings or door frames just because your character can. If your character is angry, or suffering from emmotional trauma of some sort, it's fine, but don't over do it.
3. Over-powerful/Malicious characters: Keep your character realistic. No unapproved blood-hungry, unphasable killers. No overlords, no primes, no Gods. Old characters are fine, born at the beginning of time probably isn't.
4. Race: Generally all races are allowed. Custom and canon.
5. Time and character: Draygans Hollow is a nexus, cross-dimensional characters are somewhat common and while it may be chiefly medieval-fantasy, it has elements from various time-periods in it. Modern and sci-fi elements are allowed. Have a cyborg character? That's fine! You're welcome in our ranks. However, please don't overdue the modern influence. Ask before landing a jet plane in the middle of town.
Fighting
1. Dice: If you choose to do dice, you can do dice as long as the other player is comfortable with it.
2. Fighting style: There is no set style of play in the village, whatever you and whoever you are fighting with agree to, is fine. Please, don't argue about the style during battle.
3. Abusing the privilidge: On a general moderators will not interfere with IC fighting unless asked to or directed to the fight by another player. If the two fighting are fine with what is happening, then it's fine with us. If you feel wronged, mention it while we can help you, otherwise we will not interfere. (Unless we feel for some reason we should.)
4. Fights for Fun: Fights for fun are perfectly fine, provided you can be adult about it. But, it is required they be held in the sparring square. No exceptions.
5. OOC Fights: OOC Fighting just isn't tolerated, if you really have to hash it out with that person, take it somewhere else and keep it there.
6. Courtesy: Respect the fact that sometimes, two people want to fight without someone else's character butting in. Ask before butting in on someone else's battle. Village guards or vigilantes are entitled to 'butt in' on fights ICly without asking, unless the fight is in the sparring square. It is their job.
Continued:Example scenario: If a group of three characters are roleplaying, and a fourth character suddenly attacks one of the three, all characters that were currently in that roleplay before the attack happened are entitled to interfere if it would be in their character's nature. Other characters that 'happen' upon the scene are not allowed to interfere unless the fighting players consent to it.
Certified Vigilante or village jailor attention may be brought to a fight by other IC characters, these certified vigilante characters do not require consent to interfere.
The Ignore Feature
1. Due to missuse of the ignore feature, players in Draygans Hollow are no longer allowed to have one another on ignore without consulting an admin first. (Kaelin'yFiae or Rid Liar).
Continued: If you do not agree with this rule, and do not feel that you can be in Draygans Hollow without using the ignore feature on another player, again, contact a mod or admin, we may make an exception if there is no other possible course of action, or you can leave the dream.
2. If you are allowed to use the ignore feature, you are not permitted to talk about the player you have on ignore to anyone else assosiated with Draygans Hollow.
This does not extend to the player you have on ignore unless they also have you on ignore. However, intensely negative comments about any player will not be tolerated.
The Admin
When I choose an admin, I don't choose them because they ask to be or because they just happened to be friends. Moderators are picked because they show self-control, patience and an understanding of the guild rules/how to enforce them. If you ask for share, I won't give it to you. Below is a list of admin ranks and rules, all admin are required to abide by them.
